Author Angie Klink

Angie Klink is the author of ten books. She writes memoirs, biographies, histories, documentaries, children’s books, essays, and advertising copy.

Klink's books WBAA: 100 Years as the Voice of Purdue and Pledge and Promise: Celebrating the Bond and Heritage of Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life at Purdue University were published in 2022.

Klink authored three books published by Purdue University Press: The Deans’ Bible, Kirby’s Way, and Divided Paths, Common Ground.

Two essays by Klink appear in Undeniably Indiana, an Indiana Bicentennial book published by Indiana University Press, August 2016.

Klink authored the children’s books Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer and I Found U and is published in four titles for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.

Klink was the scriptwriter for two documentaries narrated by actor Peter CoyoteEternal Flame, a documentary on five-time number one songwriter Tom Kelly and the public education documentary Rise Above the Mark, named an Official Selection in the 2014 Gutsy Gals Film Award competition.

Klink is the recipient of the 2016 American Advertising Federation Award recognizing lifetime achievement in the marketing, advertising and public relations industry. She has received sixty-one American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards and an honorable mention in the 2007 Erma Bombeck Writers’ Competition.

Klink is a lifetime member of the Purdue University President's Council, a lifetime member of the Purdue Alumni Association, and a long-time member of the John Purdue Club. She is currently serving on the City of Lafayette's Bicentennial Committee to celebrate the city's 200th anniversary in 2025. Klink is a past board member of YWCA of Greater Lafayette and the National Women’s History Alliance (NWHA). Klink holds a BA from the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University.
